FAQ’s

    • Not always.  Life involves emergencies.  Our attorneys travel widely throughout the state, and are not always in the office.  An appointment is best, but if you have an emergency, call and let us know the emergency.  We will help.
    • We handle lots of different cases.  Divorce, custody, personal injury, real estate, wills &  trusts, corporate work, and many others.  Some areas of the law are very unique and require a person who focuses entirely on that area.  If our attorneys don’t work in that area, our concern is that our clients receive the best legal advice.  We have great relationships with many attorneys.  Our relationship with other attorneys helps ensure your get the best service.
    • We are open 8:00 to 5:30 Monday through Friday, but routinely schedule appointments out of office and after hours.  We just want to help.
    • Choosing a lawyer is about creating a relationship of trust and confidence.  You have to be able to trust that your lawyer truly is working in your best interest.  You also have to have confidence your lawyer is competent in your specific area of need.  Our focus is efficiently helping our clients resolve their concerns.  That’s it.  If we take your case, we are committed to attaining the best possible result.  We can’t guarantee any result, and warn that any lawyer who does isn’t selling legal services, but empty promises.
    • We are tired of the conveyor belt systems in today’s world.  Go to the doctor, get on conveyor belt of one size fits all medicine, and go home without a real discussion about your problem.  Sound familiar?  We want our clients to sit with us, let us get to know them, and then begin working, with us, to create a plan just for you.  Get out of line.
    • That is up to you.  We’re happy to meet with you in our office, via telephone or through emails.  We attempt to use whatever means is most efficient for the client.
    • Generally, yes.  There is no set amount however.  The retainer fee is determined by each attorney according to your case.  Our attorneys don’t just make numbers up.  We actually sit down, think about your case, and determine how much time and cost will be involved.  That is how we determine the retainer amount.
    • Yes, many of the paperwork we ask clients to fill out are listed in a “forms” section on this website.
    • It is very important to contact us right away.  Most of the time there is a specific time frame in which a response must be filed with the court.  An attorney will need adequate time to review the paperwork and facts before a response can be prepared.
    • Contact us immediately.
    • We have offices in Enid, Fairview and Laverne, Oklahoma.
    • It depends on your case.  We can’t guarantee results, so you don’t always pay us for a predetermined result.  That is just not possible.  We will always communicate the risks involved in your case, even the risk of paying us and losing.
    • At the same time you should perform your own appendectomy.  Seriously, you can do some things on your own.  However, you probably go to work every day with a unique skill set that makes paying you more efficient than your clients going at it alone.  We are the same.
    • A retainer fee is a deposit for the work we will do.  Once we do the work, we bill against the retainer.  The best way for you and us to stay on the same page and headed in the same direction is to keep squabbles about money out of the picture.  Our retainer assures our commitment to you, and your commitment to us.
    • Imagine going to the courthouse.  There are two doors you can go in.  The first door is one reserved for the 1% of people who can afford to pay a team of lawyers by the hour.  Very few people can get in that door.  The other door is for the rest of us.  This door is the contingency door.  You don’t pay the costs of trying your case, and you don’t pay your lawyer unless you get some recovery.  We’re proud to offer our clients access to the courthouse.  If you win our costs are paid back out of the settlement, then we are paid a percentage of the remaining recovery.
    • You are charged for our time.  We are a business, and our business is to provide outstanding legal services.  When we spend time on your case, we bill for that time.  The lawyers all have set hourly rates.  We simply multiply our hourly rate by the amount of time spent on the case.
